On each match, the first 2 lowest peg numbers will assist with the weighing in

RED LION PISCATORS – MATCH RULES

 

  1. Environment Agency License must be held.
  2. All matches will be started and finished with a whistle.
  3. All anglers to lay their keepnets and landing nets behind their peg until 15 minutes before start of match.
  4. Separate keepnets required, one for silver fish and carp below 2lbs and one for carp over 2lbs. 50lbs net limit (anything over will be knocked back to 50lb)
  5. Only one rod and hook to be used at any one time.
  6. Competitors must not feed with a pole whilst fishing a rod.
  7. Competitors are permitted to plumb the depth or clip up a feeder rod before the start of the match, but no feeding of ground bait or loose feed before the whistle.
  8. All feeders and leads must be free running.
  9. No braided lines of any kind (including hook links)
  10. Barbless hooks only, maximum size 10.
  11. Minimum 4 inch hook length.
  12. No surface baits (minimum of 6ins below surface)
  13. No nuts, peas, boilies or trout pellets to be used.
  14. All fish over 8oz to be netted, not swung in.
  15. Your boundary is half way between you and the next angler.
  16. No fishing the pool over half way width (except on pegs 13 to 17 on Larches where full width is permitted if there is no angler opposite you)
  17. All fish to be played and netted within the boundary of your peg, i.e. one metre either side (any fish played or landed away from your peg will be disqualified)
  18. A competitor will be allowed 15 minutes after the final whistle to land a fish, but ‘fish on’ must be shouted when the whistle is sounded.
  19. PLEASE REMOVE ALL LITTER FROM YOUR PEG WHEN LEAVING.
  20. Match Secretary’s decision is final.
